Simple Ways to Clean Your Salt

When it comes to our kitchen, I would say the preparation of food for this area is one of the most important tasks in the kitchen. We must take time to prepare the meals as it can be very messy. So, I propose a simple method on how to clean and prepare your salt for a healthy diet.

When you see the salt ready, you may think of brushing it clean. But, actually, you can just use some salt scrubber and scrub the salt off the walls. The salt is very soft when you are preparing the food, so you need to make sure that it is washed with some soft cleaning solutions before you use it.

After washing the salt, you may clean your countertop with some soft scrubbing soap. This will help you remove any dirt from the counter. Don’t use it with abrasive agents, as this may cause the counter to scratch. I also recommend using a soft cloth for scraping the salt to prevent it from becoming bitter.

The final step is drying the salt. You may dry it with a towel or a dishrag. This will remove the harmful effects of the salt that are left on the surfaces of the countertops.

A good way to clean your salt, is to just make it into a paste and put it in the dishwasher. But, some people are allergic to the dishwasher. To avoid this, make it into a paste using baking soda.

Baking soda is good enough to remove the salt that is left on the countertops after washing it. However, you can add a small amount of lemon juice or orange juice in order to preserve the moisture of the salt. You can then squeeze some water out of the acidified salt. Mix the wet salt with the acidified salt and wash it to restore its moisture.

A simple procedure on how to clean your salt can help you maintain your health. It can help you avoid food poisoning from any type of salt. Besides, sea salt can also improve the taste of your foods.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
